In the heart of the mythical Elqui Valley in Pisco, surrounded by the Andes Mountains, 500km north of Santiago in central Chile, lies a magical place that allows for star-spangled dreams beneath the clear pure sky. Combining stargazing and specialized astronomic tours with night-time horseback riding, meditation and even tarot readings, Elqui Domos is a hotel quite like no other.

It was completed in 2005 to fulfil its owners’ desire to observe and enjoy the grandeur of the one of the world’s most star-filled skies. It is one of only seven astronomic hotels around the world and the only one in the Southern Hemisphere, offering breathtaking views of the magic skies draped over the Elqui Valley (the valley is renowned for its sharp, clear skies, as it happens to sit under one of the clearest atmospheres in the world). The lack of rain and pleasant weather all year round set the perfect conditions for astronomic tourism, where guests can gather to enjoy a unique chance to liaise with the stars.

Given that 30% of Aussie’s are obese. The average weight I imagine that the average weight is a lot higher then in most countries.

Trying to hit the gym 6 times a week now.

3 days of cardio - Heart rate of 130-160 for 30+ mins.

3 days of greyskull lp - Pick up and put down heavy stuff.

General Goals

GOAL: By the end of the year I will have the best looking body out of all of my friends. This body will be functional to. I will be a power-lifter disguised as a bodybuilder.

GOAL: I want to lower my bf% to 10-12% so I don’t have a gut at all. I don’t care if my abs are invisible I hate walking around with my belly poking out further then my chest. Achieve by the end of June

Strength goals

GOAL: 1x body weight - Bench Press by the end of June

GOAL: 1.5x body weight - Squat by the end of June

GOAL: 2x body weight - Deadlift by the end of June

GOAL: 3x5 chin-ups by the end of May

Cardio

GOAL: Run @ 12km/h for 30+ mins by the end of May

For those of you who don’t live in the Land Down Under, ANZAC Day is perhaps one of the most important days in the Aussie and New Zealand calander - if not, the most important day. It marks the day our troops arrived on the shores of Gallipoli in 1915. But it is so much more than that. It is the day that we honour all the brave men and women who have served in our armed forces, and continue to do so. As one, we mourn the losses of those who died, give thanks for those who returned home, show our support for those who continue to struggle with the memories day after day, and celebrate the freedom their sacrifices have given us.

We are a country that prides itself on our ability to laugh at everything - even ourselves. We pull through disasters together, and enjoy the good times as a team. We have a strong sense of mateship which is ~~in my biased opinion~~ unparalleled by any other nation on this Earth. I am proud to be an Australian; and I am so very grateful to our ANZACS for giving up all they have so my country could be what it is today. True, it has it’s flaws ~~like drop bears and politicians~~ but it is still an amazing, incredible place to live. Thank you.

An excel spreadsheet, it’s a calendar. I mantianed it only for a few short months end of 2009 to early 2010.

I instantly recognised it. I flicked to the sheet labelled ‘2009’. The date 20th of December, highlighted red.

I felt the blood drain from my lips leaving them cold and numb. Depression swept through me.
